General Information
New Orleans Cocktail Week is held annually for a week in September.
The first New Orleans Cocktail Week started in 2023 to celebrate the cocktails of the city and support the bars and restaurants in the area.
Anyone over 21 years of age may purchase a Cocktail Week Pass and attend the event. The participating bars and restaurants will check the New Orleans Cocktail Week Pass and ID’s will be checked when ordering cocktails.
Many of the participating locations are either on the same block as one another or are a quick walk (less than 10 minutes) from one another. Other options are to take a bus, streetcar, ferry, taxi or Uber or Lyft. Information regarding buses or streetcars can be found here at New Orleans Regional Transit.
In New Orleans, it’s generally legal to consume alcohol (when age 21 or over) in open containers (like plastic cups) while walking on the streets, especially in specific districts like the French Quarter. However, open containers are prohibited in vehicles. More information regarding this law can be found here at the Louisiana State Legislature.
We appreciate your willingness and kindness to support NOCW. As a thank you, volunteers receive a free pass in recognition for their donated time. Learn more about volunteering here.
Pass Information
Unlike a bar crawl, Cocktail Week does not have a specific order. Pass holders can visit the participating restaurants/bars in any order they would like at their convenience! Ensure when you are planning your Cocktail Week journey to check the hours of operation at the participating locations.
There is no limit to how many times you can visit a participating restaurant/bar. You can use the Cocktail Week Pass as many times as you like and keep enjoying discounted signature cocktail drinks during the event.
It’s easy to let the participating bar or restaurant know you are part of Cocktail Week. When your bartender or server arrives, let them know you are part of Cocktail Week and show them your Cocktail Week Pass when ordering your signature cocktail.
During Cocktail Week, the general restaurant or bar area is open for pass holders, including the bar and dining area. Private rooms or floors are not open for pass holders.
The $15 Cocktail Week Pass allows the pass holder to participate in the event and receive the discounted signature cocktail and/or small entrée/appetizer pairings (at select locations) at the participating Cocktail Week locations. The current restaurant and bar will be announced on our website 30 days prior to the first day of NOCW.
Only valid Cocktail Week Pass holders can receive the discounted price on signature cocktails. If you find yourself at a participating bar or restaurant during Cocktail Week and would like to participate, you may purchase a pass immediately on our website and begin enjoying your signature cocktail!
Passes will be available for purchase on New Orleans Cocktail Week’s website before and throughout the duration of the event. There is no cut off time to purchase a Cocktail Week Pass, you can even purchase a pass on the last day (Sunday).
Your Cocktail Week Pass was emailed to you from Purple Pass. If you have lost your emailed pass, contact customer service at Purple Pass to retrieve your pass. Purple Pass’ phone number is toll-free at 1-800-316-8559 and their email is support@purplepass.com. Access their website here.

Partnering Bars and Restaurants
Potential F&B and hospitality locations are researched and selected by Cocktail Week Staff.
We strive to make the process of registration as seamless and affordable as possible for our partners and we do not charge a fee for their participation.
New Orleans Cocktail Week is committed to supporting our bar and restaurant partners. Our partner bars and restaurants receive 100% of the money from the signature cocktails when individuals show their Cocktail Week Pass.
Your location will receive an invitation to participate via email and Instagram message. It’s important to check your spam folder as the invitation email may be inadvertently delivered there.
The selection process begins more than 6 months before the event and potential locations are contacted then. If you believe your location would be a good fit for partnership, email us at neworleanscocktailweek@gmail.com.
